Meebo releases iPhone friendly IM app.
The time has finally come. I’ve been using Meebo for instant messaging when I’m away from my personal computer, so it was only natural that when I got my iPhone I would check it out on MobileSafari. This was way before the iPhone version was out, and I must say, I’m torn between which IM client I prefer on my iPhone. FlickIM has been my weapon of choice, but I’ll give the new Meebo version a trial. All you have to do is point your iPhone to www.meebo.com and sign into your account. Meebo is definitely trying to regain the high ground when it comes to IM on iPhone, but soon enough, someone’s bound to release a native application that’ll satisfy the needs of true “always online” messaging on the iPhone.
