iPhone v1.1.1 exploits surfacing.
The effort to develop native applications for the iPhone v1.1.1 firmware are well under way at this point. TUAW’s Erica Sadun has been keeping a blog, displaying her efforts to get access to the file system. Meanwhile, the hackint0sh forums have been buzzing about a new hacking method that uses buffer overflow via “carefully crafted” TIFFs that crash Mobile Safari. Nonetheless, it is still early, and I’m sure there will be plenty more hacking developments in the near future, so be sure to check back often for the latest news.
